Theo nghiên cứu của các nhà khoa học Anh, sự giảm thiểu số lượng côn trùng thụ phấn như ong mật và bướm sẽ khiến cho nhiều loài thực vật không thể đơm hoa kết trái, trong khi đó 1/3 chủng loại thức ăn của con người đều bắt nguồn từ các sản phẩm do ong thụ phấn.
