Các thiết bị sẽ sử dụng những miếng thấm keo đặc biệt để vỗ vào một cá nhân hoặc hiện trường tội phạm để thu thập mẫu. Mẫu này sau đó được phân tích bằng thiết bị quét có thể phát hiện hóa chất trong vài giây. Điều này cho phép xác định nhanh hơn, tốt hơn để kịp thời phản ứng với những đe dọa khủng bố.
