Các nhà khoa học Đức và Anh đã chế tạo ra loại vật liệu mỏng nhất thế giới có độ dày chỉ bằng 1/200.000 sợi tóc. Loại màng này được kết nối bởi các nguyên tử carbon 6 cạnh có dạng tổ ong, nếu xếp chồng lên nhau phải cần tới 200.000 lớp mới bằng độ dày một sợi tóc.
