Thiết kế nhà in 3D mới là sản phẩm của kiến trúc sư Mario Cucinella. Ông hy vọng công nghệ xây dựng tiên tiến này có thể góp phần đối phó tình trạng vô gia cư. Cucinella đặt tên cho thiết kế là nhà TECLA dựa theo sự kết hợp giữa công nghệ và đất sét.
