ác nhà khoa học Anh đã phát hiện ra 1 phân tử protein ở trên bề mặt của các tế bào thần kinh mà gây ra phản xạ ho khi bị kích thích. Họ tin rằng phát hiện này sẽ tạo ra một loại thuốc mới giúp điều trị bệnh ho mãn tính. Trưởng nhóm nghiên cứu, GS Alyn Morice, Bệnh viện Castle Hill tại Hull nói: “Ho mãn tính là một hiện tượng mang tính xã hội vì nó gây ảnh hưởng tới đời sống cá nhân, làm họ bị cô lập. Tuy nhiên, những phương pháp điều trị tốt nhất hiện tại cũng chỉ là mật ong và chanh”.
