Đây được cho là một phương pháp điều trị khả quan, đầy hứa hẹn trong tương lai đối với căn bệnh chết người này.Các nhà khoa học đã cấy nọc độc của ong vào các phân tử trung gian rồi tiêm vào cơ thể của hai nhóm chuột thí nghiệm, trong đó một nhóm có tế bào ung thư da và nhóm còn lại có tế bào ung thư vú.
