Máu nhân tạo có thể sẽ thay thế nguồn máu hiến tặng trong các ca truyền máu – theo các nhà nghiên cứu tại Đại học Edinburgh, những người đã dùng tế bào gốc để tạo ra các tế bào hồng cầu, trong dự án nghiên cứu trị giá 5 triệu bảng Anh.
